The ambitious scope of the project brief combined with the limited size of the unit and complex restricting factors of creating such a facility within a large mixed-use building required clever use of space to develop a hard-working design to deliver project objectives while satisfying SHTM guidelines and building regulations.
Our design makes subtle references to the nature of treatments offered at the clinic through the use of curved forms and bespoke elements such as the reception desk to create a flowing series of spaces.
A cosmetic clinic and day surgery facility of this scale involves numerous functional spaces, which were accommodated discretely, allowing the more public areas to be expressed creatively, with great attention paid to achieving the quality of space envisaged by the client. The reception space establishes a clear visual relationship with the street and flows smoothly into a waiting area deeper into the plan. A combination of discreet soffit lighting and borrowed natural light from the reception area creates a relaxed ambiance. The clinic’s brand colours are carefully incorporated into the interior design of the clinic spaces to subtly reinforce the branding of the clinic.
