A key requirement of the client was to use their very large meeting room as the interface between the clients and the business. The meeting room has, therefore, been placed at a slight angle at the heart of the office floor plate to both face the clients as they arrive at the reception to celebrate their arrival and to create visual interest.
The angular juxtaposition of the meeting room against the orthogonal geometry of the building’s floor plate is an intelligent design idea, echoing the client’s business ethos, helping to create a more fluid and dynamic office layout on the office side connecting the various parts of the office around the meeting room.
